A leaked explicit video allegedly involving jailed music mogul Sean Combs has reignited controversy around the rapper while his legal team continues fighting for his early release from prison.
The 54-second video began circulating online over the weekend of 31 May 2026 and was later described as authentic by media personality DJ Vlad, according to multiple US entertainment reports.
The footage reportedly features adult film performer Sly Diggler and Daphne Joy, who is widely known as the mother of 50 Cent’s son.
50 Cent reacts publicly
The leak quickly gained traction on social media after 50 Cent publicly responded online, taking aim at Daphne Joy while also criticising the Los Angeles court system amid their long-running custody disputes.
The rapper, who has frequently commented on Diddy’s legal troubles over the past year, once again used social media to weigh in on the latest developments surrounding the embattled music executive.
The online exchanges added another layer of public attention to a case that has already dominated headlines internationally.
Diddy remains in prison while appeal continues
Diddy is currently serving a 50-month prison sentence at Federal Correctional Institution, Fort Dix following his 2025 conviction.
According to recent US court reports, an appeals court reviewed his conviction on 9 April 2026 as his legal team attempts to secure his early release.
His defence team, led by attorney Alexandra Shapiro, reportedly described the sentence as “draconian” while arguing that the court improperly considered allegations for which he was acquitted.
Defence challenges sentencing process
According to US legal filings, Diddy’s legal team argues the sentencing judge unfairly relied on acquitted conduct linked to more serious racketeering and sex trafficking allegations.
A jury ultimately convicted him on two counts related to transportation to engage in prostitution rather than the broader charges initially brought against him.
His lawyers are also reportedly arguing that recorded sexual encounter videos presented during proceedings amounted to “amateur pornography” protected under First Amendment free speech laws rather than evidence of prostitution-related offences.
Legal team pushes for faster ruling
Although Diddy’s current projected release date falls in mid-2028, his attorneys are reportedly seeking an expedited appeal outcome.
If successful, the appeal could significantly reduce his sentence or potentially secure his release much sooner than expected.
The case continues drawing widespread attention globally, with ongoing legal proceedings, leaked footage controversies and celebrity reactions keeping the rapper firmly in the public spotlight.
