Delron Davids has claimed the title of Red Bull Dance Your Style South Africa 2026 National Champion after defeating Louie-V in a high-energy final at Old Grey Sports Club.
The Cape Town dancer rose above a competitive Top 16 lineup in a format known for its unpredictability. There are no judges, no choreography and no fixed playlist. Every round is decided by the crowd.
A Breakthrough Win on the National Stage
Davids’ victory marks a defining moment in his career. He entered the competition with unfinished business after falling short in a previous national final.
“I just want to thank God for this win. I worked hard and focused on making sure I win this time,” he said after the announcement.
The final battle against Louie-V delivered intensity from start to finish, with the crowd playing a decisive role in shaping the outcome.
Bloemfontein Delivers a Standout Night
Hosting the national final for the first time, Bloemfontein brought energy and momentum to the competition.
The venue stayed loud throughout the night. Every beat change and dance move triggered instant reactions from the audience. The crowd voting system placed full control in the hands of attendees, turning each round into a shared decision.
Live performances added to the atmosphere. Artists like Stallionair and Stino Le Thwenny set the tone early. Sets from Cowboii, DJ Tshegu and Justin99 kept the energy high across the event.

A Competitive Road to the Final
The competition featured a strong mix of returning names and new talent. Defending champion Mason Booysen returned after winning the 2024 title in Gqeberha and competing at the world final in Mumbai.
This year’s edition saw a shift, with emerging dancers pushing through and reshaping the final lineup.
Louie-V acknowledged the level of competition and the crowd’s role in the final result. “It was a tough competition. The crowd supported us and made it easy to perform,” he said.
Switzerland Awaits
Davids now moves on to the global stage. He will represent South Africa at the Red Bull Dance Your Style World Final 2026 on 24 October in Zurich.
“I want to show the world what South Africa is made of. I hope my training prepares me for the world,” he said.
