PAUL RENÉ CAP CLASSIQUE WINES are produced on the verdant outskirts of the picturesque town of Robertson. Paul René is a family-owned winery dedicated to crafting exceptional sparkling wines using time-honoured methods and meticulously selected grapes. This includes three outstanding varietals:

Paul René Brut

Paul René Brut is made from hand-picked Chardonnay grapes grown in rich limestone soil vineyards. The grapes are slowly whole-bunch pressed and aged on the lees for 44 months. This vintage benefits from secondary fermentation in the bottle, along with manual riddling and disgorgement. The result is a rich, deeply flavoured bubbly featuring notes of citrus blossom and nougat, with bright limestone acidity that keeps the wine taut, leading to creamy, bready notes on the finish.

Paul René Brut Rosé

Paul René Brut Rosé is crafted from hand-picked Pinot Noir (75%) and Chardonnay (25%) grapes sourced from a vineyard in the Robertson Valley. The grapes are slowly whole-bunch pressed and aged on the lees for 44 months. This vintage undergoes secondary fermentation in the bottle, along with manual riddling and disgorgement. The result is a wine with the colour of an early spring sunrise, offering upfront fine spice and green notes. It has exceptional balance and opens on the palate with expansive cherry and almond notes, ending most alluringly on a lingering grapefruit finish.

Paul René Nectar

The latest addition to the Paul René family, Paul René Nectar, is a blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. All the grapes are lovingly hand-picked, whole-bunch pressed, and aged on the lees for 30 months. This creates a subtle and sweeter bubbly, infused with flavours of toffee apple, rose petals, and caramel. The extra time on the lees imparts lovely complexity and richness, finishing with a lingering honey-kissed note.
