SABC 1 and SABC Plus will broadcast the 2026 Corona Sunsets Festival live from Cape Town on Saturday, 21 March 2026.
Following the success of the Johannesburg edition, the partnership returns to bring the festival’s golden-hour atmosphere to national audiences.
Broadcasting from Clifton
The Cape Town edition will air from The Glen Country Club, delivering performances, immersive art and the signature sunset experience into homes across the country.
The broadcast runs from 19:30 to 21:30 on SABC 1 and will be available for streaming on SABC Plus.
Hosts at the helm
Leading the 2026 special are DJ Sabby and Hope Mbhele.

DJ Sabby, host of Metro FM’s Best Mornings, brings extensive live-event experience, having presented the South African Music Awards, Metro FM Music Awards and major festival broadcasts.
Hope Mbhele, recognised for her roles in Uzalo and Shaka iLembe, joins the broadcast with a growing presence across television and digital platforms.
Together, they will guide viewers through performances, artist moments and the festival’s immersive experiences.
