The Franschhoek Wine Tram proudly announces its anticipated launch of the Festival of Lights.

Celebrating the magical essence of the holiday season, this festival promises an evening brimming with enchantment, festive-themed music and captivating light displays set against the backdrop of the valley’s breathtaking vineyards.

Visitors are invited to embark on a mesmerizing evening tram ride, taking in the twinkling lights, bright colours and festive buzz occurring on either side of the tracks.

Taking place between December 4th and 21st, 2023, the Festival of Lights offers a unique opportunity for families and friends to revel in the joyous atmosphere. The highlight of the event is the enchanting double-decker tram journey, departing from the Franschhoek Terminal at 20:20 and 21:00 on selected nights. During this 30-minute ride, passengers can snuggle up close with loved ones and enjoy a unique ride that’s sure to captivate all ages.

Moreover, the Festival of Lights isn’t just about entertainment—it’s an initiative to support the community. All proceeds raised during this spectacular event will be directed to FRANCO & The Kusasa Project, two esteemed non-profit organizations dedicated to aiding underprivileged children within the Franschhoek community.
