KALFIEFEES HERMANUS KUNSTEFEES – A FESTIVAL OF THEATRE, MUSIC, ART, AND LIFESTYLE

The Kalfiefees Hermanus Kunstefees in the picturesque Overstrand will once again host world-class artists from across the country to entertain audiences from all corners. This year’s 24^th annual Kalfiefees will take place from Thursday 1 to Sunday 11 August 2024, which includes the Women’s Day long weekend.

Festival goers can expect a diverse range of offerings, with drama, comedy, music, dance, children’s theatre, book discussions, art, and lifestyle on the programme. The Kalfiefees attracts big names every year, and this year is no exception, with Sandra Prinsloo, Tobie Cronjé, Neil Sandilands, Schalk Joubert, Jak de Priester, Elzabé Zietsman, David Viviers, Dean Smith, Amanda Strydom, Jannie du Toit, and many more.

The Kalfiefees takes its name from the time of year when the whales come to Walker Bay to calve. Apart from the festival’s multifaceted offering of theatre, music, art, and lifestyle, the Overstrand offers an exceptional array of restaurants and wine farms as well as outdoor activities such as walking tours on the coast.
