Airlink to launch direct Lanseria-Harare flights in November 2026

455

Airlink will launch three weekly flights between Lanseria International Airport and Harare from 15 November 2026.

Bookings are now open for the route, which will be the first scheduled airline service connecting the privately owned airport north-west of Johannesburg with Zimbabwe’s capital.

Airlink adds first scheduled Lanseria service

The route will be Airlink’s first scheduled service from Lanseria.

It will provide another point-to-point connection for travellers based on the western side of Gauteng and in the North West province.

Airlink will continue operating its existing Johannesburg-Harare services from O.R. Tambo International Airport.

“Johannesburg-Harare is one of the busiest routes in Southern Africa and saw demand averaging around 60,000 seats a month in 2025. A significant percentage of this market comprises people within Lanseria’s catchment area and Airlink is able to better serve these customers by augmenting our existing services (which operate out of O.R. Tambo), with the new Lanseria flights,” said de Villiers Engelbrecht, Airlink CEO.

Lanseria to Harare flight schedule

Flights from Lanseria to Harare will operate as follows:

  • Flight number: 4Z 090
  • Days: Monday, Thursday and Saturday
  • Departure from Lanseria: 07:00
  • Arrival in Harare: 08:40

Return flights from Harare to Lanseria will operate as follows:

  • Arrival at Lanseria: 19:25

All times are local.

Embraer E190 to operate the route

Airlink will operate the route using an Embraer E190 aircraft with space for 98 passengers.

The cabin will have six Business Class and 92 Economy seats. The aircraft offers window and aisle seating without middle seats.

Passengers will receive complimentary meals and refreshments during the flight. The cabin configuration also provides generous legroom.

How to book Airlink’s new flights
