Welcome to De Wawielhuis in Calitzdorp – where history meets hospitality.

Inspired by the timeless symbolism of the wagon wheel, De Wawielhuis celebrates resilience, exploration, and progress. Just as wagon wheels once carried pioneers into the unknown, we invite you to embark on a journey of discovery and connection with us.

Here, the rustic charm of the past blends seamlessly with the warmth of contemporary hospitality. Whether you seek a moment of reflection, a place to gather, or a space to create new memories, De Wawielhuis offers an atmosphere steeped in heritage and the enduring human spirit of adventure.

Come join us and experience a setting that honours history while embracing the present—where every guest is part of the journey. We look forward to welcoming you!

We offer 2 Self Catering Cottages. Each cottage contains a bedroom, shower en-suite, a kitchen and a covered patio area. Both cottages are fully furnished and fitted with all necessary utensils. The property is fully walled with a 2-meter brick wall, entirely electric fenced, and has a motorised gate and shade parking.
