Grow Business Coaching has announced a significant initiative aimed at accelerating the growth of black-owned businesses in South Africa, offering 12 entrepreneurs free, one-year access to its premium business growth software, Catalyzer.
R1.2m programme to drive sustainable growth
Valued at R1.2 million, the programme is designed to equip successful applicants with the tools and training needed to build profitable, sustainable businesses. The deadline for applications is 12 December 2025.
The initiative supports South Africa’s economic transformation, aligns with B-BBEE legislation, and provides essential resources for black business owners ready to scale their operations.
Grow CEO Andrew Aitken said, “Grow is committed to supporting South Africa’s economic transformation in line with B-BBEE legislation. This initiative reflects our dedication to developing entrepreneurs and contributing to inclusive economic growth. Access to proven business frameworks can accelerate success, and we want to make that accessible to qualifying black business leaders.”
Who can apply
The programme is aimed at established businesses with 10 to 50 full-time employees. Grow is seeking entrepreneurs who are prepared to implement structured strategies and build high-performing leadership teams. The Catalyzer platform helps companies to address common challenges, such as unclear strategies, misaligned teams, and leadership isolation.
Track record of business support
Since its inception 16 years ago, Grow Business Coaching has helped hundreds of South African businesses across various industries. Five years ago, the company launched Catalyzer, a comprehensive platform designed to guide business owners through the complexities of strategic planning and execution.
Graham Mitchell, founder and head of client results at Grow, said: “We’ve spent five years refining Catalyzer with input from hundreds of CEOs who’ve used it to achieve clarity and confidence in leading their businesses. This isn’t a trial or a limited version. These 12 entrepreneurs will receive full access to everything our clients use, because we believe in the potential of South African black-owned businesses to drive meaningful economic impact.”
What’s on offer
The 12 selected entrepreneurs will gain full access to Grow’s cloud-based Strategy Map, a tool that distils complex business planning into a single-page framework. The platform includes resources to create actionable quarterly plans, implement accountability systems for leadership teams, and access a library of 59 online courses. These cover strategic planning, financial management, leadership, and team performance.
How to apply
Interested applicants can submit their details at www.grow-za.com/catalyzer. The application process will ask for information on the business’s current operations, team structure, and leadership approach. Selection will focus on readiness to implement strategy, growth potential, and leadership commitment. Successful applicants will be notified by mid-December 2025.
This initiative offers a significant opportunity for black-owned businesses to strengthen their operations and contribute to South Africa’s broader economic transformation.
